SAARA Hosted there Grand Inauguration Ceremony of 2025–2026 in Woodside,New York. Real estate professionals united in a new journey of leadership and community service; as well as a tribute paid to fallen officer Didarul Islam.

The South Asian American Realtor Association (SAARA), a leading organization of South Asian real estate professionals, held its 2025–2026 Inauguration Ceremony in grand style on Friday, August 1st, at Gulshan Terrace in Woodside, New York.
The event commenced at 6 PM with interfaith blessings. The Holy Quran was recited by Assistant General Secretary Mohammed Maruf Miah, while SAARA member Munmun Saha offered a reading from the Bhagavad Gita. The program continued with welcome remarks by President Sarwor Khan Babu and General Secretary Mohammad Belal Hossain.
President Sarwar Khan Babu presided over the main session, which was moderated by journalist Bulbul Hasan. The evening’s chief guest was New York State Assemblymember Zohran Mamdani, the Democratic primary winner for Mayor of New York City. He praised theinitatives of SAARA and recognized the valuable contributions of South Asian realtors across the region.
In a solemn moment, Mamdani honored the memory of Bangladeshi-American police officer Mohammad Didarul Islam, who was recently killed in the line of duty. The entire audience stood in silence, expressing deep sorrow and solidarity.
